About the Author
Morris Hein is professor emeritus of chemistry at Mt. San Antonio College, where he regularly taught the preparatory chemistry course and organic chemistry. He is the original author of Foundations of College Chemistry and his name has become synonymous with clarity, meticulous accuracy, and a step-by-step approach that students can follow. Over the years, more than three million students have learned chemistry using a text by Morris Hein. In addition to Foundations of College Chemistry, he is co-author of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry, Seventh Edition,and Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry. He is also co-author of Foundations of Chemistry in the Laboratory, Eleventh Edition, and Introduction to General, Organic and Biochemistry in the Laboratory, Seventh Edition.
Susan Arena has taught chemistry to students at many levels including middle school, high school, community college and most recently at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She especially focuses on using active learning techniques to improve the understanding of concepts in chemistry. Susan currently authors chemistry texts and electronic media, and presents workshops for teachers in suing active learning and electronic media to teach chemistry. She collaborated with Morris Hein on the seventh edition of Foundations of College Chemistry and became a co-author on the eighth edition. She is also a co-author of Introduction to General, Organic and Biochemistry, Seventh Edition.

Received it on Saturday June 9,2012 order it on June 1,2012 it was just like the seller said, it had no marks in it, and all the pages were there. I know colleges who have purchase use lab book and did not realise pages had been missing from the lab book until it was time to do a lab assignment or marked in. It took longer than expected so I am glad I ordered early.

Cheaper earlier edition, worth the money

My class required the 14th edition of this book, but I ordered the 12th and it has all the same experiments as the 14th except for two, so not a big deal. Definitely a worthy buy. Came in the mail super quick, shipped the same day I placed my order. Superb timing and just as described. Great condition for a used paperback book. Thank you :)

The book came just as described. It was used, but there were no marks, ripped pages or wrinkled edges. Also, the shipping was so fast. It came about 2 days after placing the order. I have no complaints whatsoever. This seller is great!!
