Review
"An excellent book. . .The examples make concepts come alive and the exercises at the end of each chapter help students make concepts a part of their practice."
"This is an excellent book for helping students develop an understanding of the basic elements of what 'happens' within a group. The examples make the concepts come alive and the exercises at the end of each chapter help students make concepts a part of their practice."
"The text provides a practical approach to working with groups, using an existential orientation. The text focuses on process, facilitator, responsibilities and issues, and member roles as well as stages of group work. It is a good basic overview of group."

Definitely a keeper!
By J. Myers
This text book is one that is a must for anyone wishing to start a therapy group. It was used in an undergraduate level social work class, but could have easily been used in the master's level. I sold most of my college books, but I did not sell this one.
this book gives varied information for many different types of groups that can be formed. As a college student it was helpful, but I also used the information for a women's Bible study group that I lead. Invaluable information. Definitely buy this book!
