I would describe [this book] as a practical guide to understanding Satir's language and how to apply her concepts to the art of doing therapy. It is both a textbook and workbook for the faculty member and/or student."
"I would describe this manuscript to a colleague as exciting and a good source for teaching Satir in an applied context. Since my colleagues and I are involved in an applied counseling curriculum, it would be of interest as a selection for the Family Intervention class and as a reference for several other courses, including the Family Theory, Family Systems, Parent Education, and Introductory Counseling Practicum courses. . . . The text provides a systematic orientation to the rationale and specific methods of one theorist?s approach. It is also simplified enough for students to grasp. . . . I would definitely consider adopting this manuscript for my course and library. It opened up a new frame for me of Satir's work and I enjoyed reading it!"
