About the Author
Richard M. Ryckman has taught Personality for over 30 years, and is currently conducting research on two measures of competition, hyper-competitiveness and personal development competitiveness. He is known for developing the measure of physical self-efficacy. He is also a member of the Society of Experimental Social Psychology.

Best personality textbook. Not perfect.

It's the best personality textbook I've read, and believe me, I've read a lot of them. So why didn't I give it five stars? The authors have removed a couple of useful chapters and shuffled the order of chapters around to justify continued publication without really updating much. The third edition from way back when is actually better than the current edition. Minor errors have lingered throughout all editions.

I would have to say that this textbook is very well written and is easy to follow. Schultzs made the book very interesting with great examples and photographs.

I really thought this book was helpful. I bought this book to complement another book I had trouble understanding. I finished this book in a couple of days in time to complete a research paper. You can't find many easy reading books like this one.
